In his UN speech on Tuesday, Trump said the US would discard the term"artificial intelligence" in favor of"super intelligence" and said he opposed guardrails, rejecting"any attempt to construct a globalist scheme to control" the technology. Meanwhile, US ally President Javier Milei of Argentina on Thursday touted the country's vast natural resources and pledge to keep AI unregulated as reasons to invest in the South American country.

Speaking to investors at the Economic Club in New York, Milei pointed to Argentina's energy and mineral resources, along with its vast"land on which to build" AI data centers.

"Argentina has taken a very clear position" on artificial intelligence, Milei said in Spanish. "We are not going to regulate. ""If managed poorly, I even believe AI could be a risk to humanity as a whole," Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic (Both entrepreneurs said the world needs common standards and protocols to prevent the technology from becoming too powerful to rein in. They also warned that AI could become too concentrated in too few companies or countries.
