President Trump pleaded with Chinese President Xi to help “ensure” he’d win reelection during a meeting last year, according to John Bolton's new book
reporters of Bolton's memoir. “So that would mean that, if he wrote a book and if the book gets out, he’s broken the law and I would think that he would have criminal problems. I hope so.”Earlier this year, Trump was impeached by the House for allegations he pressured the Ukrainian president to help dig up dirt on Democratic rival Joe Biden in exchange for military aid.
The book was an initial draft contained accounts of Bolton recalling Trump had told him in August 2019 that he wanted to continue freezing aid to Ukraine until officials in the country assisted with investigations that would benefit him politically.
