Former White House lawyer Ty Cobb believes that Judge Aileen Cannon, who was appointed by Trump and previously oversaw a case against him, will recuse herself from the case involving the suspect in Trump's second alleged assassination attempt.

“You can’t make this up,” Cobb said of the selection of Cannon, who Trump appointed to the bench and who oversaw and thenagainst the former president and current GOP nominee. Special counsel Jack Smith’s office is currently appealing that ruling. Cobb“I think it’s a remarkable coincidence. I would suspect that she may recuse herself or have the case reassigned,” predicted Cobb.
