The letter comes as part of a broader effort by Trump to refute a recent flurry of bad polling.
The letter, signed by the campaign’s senior legal advisor Jenna Ellis and chief operating officer Michael Glassner, demanded CNN retract the poll, which they called a"a stunt and a phony poll to cause voter suppression, stifle momentum and enthusiasm for the President, and present a false view generally of the actual support across America for the President."
In response, CNN argued that McLaughin’s analysis, “makes several incorrect and misleading claims,” including misrepresenting its sample and misstating the time period in which it was conducted. that they are not retracting it.
