Trump says a new executive order could strip colleges of funding if they don’t support 'free speech'

The executive order, Trump said, would “require colleges to support free speech if they want federal research” money. Spokespeople for the White House didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Trump is likely on strong footing with the proposed executive order, said Cynthia Miller-Idriss, an associate professor of education at American University.
