Opinion: Trump and Biden should do America a favor and step aside
“The country is on fire,” Donald Trump told FOX News. Nothing unusual about that. But then the former president threw a curve nobody saw coming. “The temperature has to be brought down. What can I do to reduce the heat?”
“My fellow Americans, former President Trump wants to help ‘reduce the heat’ to prevent ‘terrible things’ from happening. I do, too. So, tonight, I am offering the following: I will not seek reelection in 2024 if Mr. Trump will not seek nor accept the Republican nomination for president. Let’s move forward with new faces for both the Democratic and Republican parties and not refight yesterday’s battles.”Sadly, President Biden is not taking my phone calls, even after I voted for him 30-times.
