His 2019 lead of 9,000 votes was the Liberals’ high mark since taking the Toronto riding away from the NDP.
“A number of the seats that they identified were actually kind of those NDP-Liberal swing seats. I think they definitely feel they can’t give any of that back in the next election, so I think they may have tried to find some individuals that they’re going to raise their profile in some close seats,” he said.
