“We need to grow our party. We need to modernize it, make it more inclusive and giving members a direct say in who the leader should be is an important step in that direction,” he said.

That work has not been done in some time and we’ve seen the result of the last two elections,” he said.Article content “Those are three things that people talk about and if you focus on those and present a clear idea as to how we’re going to fix those issues for people,” he said. “Our job, and Liberals have always been traditionally good at this, is to make people’s lives easier to live. We need to be pragmatic problem solvers.”
“I got involved federally almost 10 years ago because the Liberal party was in third place in need of serious generational renewal and we had a very frustrating Conservative majority government.” The federal party holds regular “days of action,” drawing on those supporters to go door knocking with MPs and regularly taps the wide supporter network for fundraising.“We rebuild our federal party going from third to first in our really serious grassroots sway, mobilizing engaging volunteers and and putting field organization first.”
