TINA COMEAU PHOTO - SaltWire NetworkARGYLE, NS – A section of Highway 103 in Yarmouth County that in 2015 was identified by the province as a priority has finally made it onto the government’s highway improvement plan.
In the past, the omission of this section of the highway from previous highway plans was explained by the province to be because of ongoing design work and costing for this project. Still, even during those years, the province called the project a priority. This Yarmouth County intersection has long been talked about, examined and studied.
There is added danger if vehicles swerve around these turning vehicles as it places them directly in the path of a turning lane from the opposite direction. There have been many reports of near misses in the past.
