Tropical Depression Milton is strengthening in the Gulf of Mexico and could become a major hurricane before making landfall along Florida's west coast. The storm is currently located about 245 miles north of Veracruz, Mexico, and is moving north-northeast at 3 mph. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) warns that areas from the Yucatan Peninsula to the Florida Keys could experience the system's impact.
