At approximately 5:45 a.m., troopers responded to reports of a hit-and-run collision on State Route 28 in the area of milepost 4, near the Tyee Avenue intersection. Troopers learned that a vehicle, described as a dark-colored 2003 BMW 4-door wagon, struck a male pedestrian, then fled the scene.About 50 minutes later, troopers located the reported suspect vehicle on Northwest Cascade Avenue, just south of State Route 2.The victim was released to the Douglas County Coroner.WSP detectives are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information about the victim’s identity.
