The Saskatchewan Country Music Association presents its annual awards this weekend. Singer Teagan Littlechief has secured three nominations.
And as the music industry continues to grow in the province, Littlechief continues to evolve her style.
She nominated for female artist of the year, Indigenous artist of the year, and fans choice entertainer of the year.Q: How did you come to embrace country music in your singing and songwriting?A: “To be honest I’ve always been a rock n roll girl, a pop — like Celine Dion — type music artist. I’ve been that kind of person for a very, very long time. I actually didn’t get into country music until 2001.
