"Steely Dan forged a unique, lasting identity in the history of pop music culture resisting all rock 'n' roll conventions, blending jazz, traditional pop, blues, and R&B.
"They created a sophisticated and distinctive sound with catchy hooks and melodies, complex harmonies and time signatures, all topped by clever and cryptic lyrics." Steely Dan's popularity blossomed in the '70s and into the '80s as their albums consistently earned raves. Their numerous singles found their way to the top of the charts."When you check out their individual bios you are left to marvel at the quality bands and artists the members of Pretzel Logic have worked with, in studio and on tour," the show's promoters say. "It is truly an astonishing collective resume.
