is a sharp look at the differences between the uber-rich and their interactions with everyone else that is split into three parts before it reaches a surprising end. It's just arrived onIt begins by focusing on the relationship between models Carl and Yaya, and then takes an extreme – and often hysterical – turn in part two, when the influencer couple accept a free trip aboard a luxury yacht filled with jaw-droppingly wealthy people.
They are joined by Abigail, one of the cleaners from the boat, who arrives in a lifeboat and soon takes control of the group, as she is the only one who has any real-world skills, such as catching fish and starting fires. One morning, Yaya visits the lifeboat where Carl is with Abigail to ask for the group's backpack, as she wants to hike up the mountain to see if she can see anything on the other side of the island. Abigail volunteers to go with her, and the pair set off.
She shows Abigail, who asks that they sit for a minute and enjoy the moment before they go over to the lift, and then Abigail delays things further, heading to a nearby rocky area to go to the toilet. In the final scene, she also reveals that she really has nothing to go back for – Yaya asks if she is looking forward to seeing her children, and Abigail says that she doesn’t have any. While we aren’t given much back story on Abigail in the previous scenes, this is a sure sign that her island life could be much more preferable than her real life.
When the film was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, Dolly De Leon, who plays Abigail, said she believed that her character did kill Yaya, but she has since changed her mind.Entertainment Weekly
