Fishermen from across the North East and North Yorkshire have taken to the seas to protest over the unexplained deaths of thousands of crabs and lobsters which they say are “decimating” their industry.
Government scientists claim naturally occurring algae is responsible, but the fishermen say that recent dredging along the Tees Estuary has played a part.
