What seemed to be emergency safety equipment laid, deployed, around the helicopter’s cockpit and landing gear.
“The Bell 429 helicopter involved in the crash is owned by the Canadian Coast Guard and operated and maintained by Transport Canada. There were no reported injuries, and the pilot was the sole occupant,” Ayoun said in a statement. Neither the TSB nor Transport Canada stated what was the suspected cause for the crash. On social media, residents of the village boasting a population of roughly 2,000 people shared information about what occurred and confirmed that no one was injured in the crash.
