TransLink has launched full-motion video ads that can be viewed through SkyTrain windows for commuters travelling eastbound from Waterfront Station to Burrard Station through the Dunsmuir tunnel.
Quinn unveiled the first-in-Canada technology at a media event at Stadium-Chinatown Station on Tuesday. The new technology, which is already in use in Asian, European, and South American markets, was installed by Vancouver-based advertising company adtrackmedia, which will also manage the advertising content.Adtrackmedia is shouldering the cost of installation and maintenance of the ad system, while TransLink gains a new revenue source.
