“If you’ve ever been spit on, you don’t stop and analyze the event,” said Mahar. “Unfortunately, as a human you have an instant reaction, right?”Postmedia reached out to the City of Calgary for this story but did not receive a response. “The people that are living in the transit stations, in the bus shelters, the approaches to addressing that problem are multifaceted,” he said. “There’s probably 10 or 20 things that need to be done.”
