SaltWire's Atlantic regional weather forecast for October 31, 2023 | SaltWireDUNSINANE, N.B. — A six-car train derailment in Dunsinane, N.B. has sent CN crews and local first responders scrambling to mitigate any potential damage.

In a statement from CN, officials said the accident took place in a wooded area in the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 30. Four of the cars contained liquefied petroleum gasoline — which is used in vehicles, heating appliances, and cooking equipment — however, no injuries, fires, leaks or spills have been reported and crews say there is no danger to the public.
