Weather permitting, the contractor will begin placing barrier on westbound Route 22/322 at approximately 6 p.m. June 5.The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that plans for a long-term traffic shift along the westbound Route 22/322 bridges spanning Interstate 81 and the ramp from eastbound Route 22/322 to I-81 north in Dauphin County have changed.will now begin at 6 p.m. June 5. The work is expected to be finished by 6 a.m. the next morning.
This work is part of a project that includes bridge preservation work, approach pavement work, sign and sign structure replacements, and other miscellaneous construction on I-81 from Progress Avenue in the City of Harrisburg to the Susquehanna River at the George N. Wade Bridge in Susquehanna Township, and on Route 22 from Elmerton Avenue to about 0.5 miles north of I-81 in the city.
