Sophomore Taylor Nunez wins four golds and Randolph win second straight state girls track and field title

Taylor set two meet records en route to winning four gold medals on Thursday. That haul equaled the four golds she won last year. As one of the most accomplished athletes in UTSA history, Tameka is quite a role model. The former Tameka Roberts earned All-America honors seven times as a Roadrunners’ track and field athlete. She earned those honors competing in the same events Taylor did on Friday.
“She’s my best friend,” Taylor said of her mother. “She is everything to me. Not only as a mom but as a coach. She’s always putting me in the best positions possible.”
