“Yeah … I think we’ve played a lot of really good defences and we’ve had opportunities to score touchdowns,” sad QB Maier, hours ahead of the team’s first visit of the season to The Big Smoke. “Whether it’s a play here or play there, a penalty or a missed throw — whatever it might be — it’s totally in our control. That came on a seven-yard touchdown toss to receiver Tre Odoms-Dukes.“Pretty high,” said Maier with a sigh. “Yeah … pretty high. You know … it’s part of the game. It’s something that has cost us winning the last few weeks. And I’m aware that. We’re all aware of that.
“But as long as you take care of the ball and do all the little things right, you’ll have your chances. It’s just a matter of making it happen.”Just added to the injury list this week are star running back Ka’Deem Carey — with a quadriceps muscle issue — and talented receiver Tommylee Lewis — with a wrist problem.
