The Toronto Tea Festival is brewing up a storm this year, returning to the Toronto Reference Library on February 1st and 2nd, 2025 for a weekend dedicated to all things tea. With over 40 vendors showcasing a diverse range of teas from around the globe, attendees can immerse themselves in the world of tea culture . The Appel Salon on the second floor will be transformed into a tea lover's paradise, offering free presentations by industry experts throughout the weekend.
Participants can sip on the freshest brews while learning about the history, health benefits, and cultural significance of tea. Admission tickets are priced at $20 and include a branded shopping bag and a glass tasting cup, providing a valuable souvenir for tea enthusiasts.Joining the lineup of returning favorites are several exciting newcomers. Attendees can delve into the art of Chinese Tea Art – Dian Cha (Whisking Tea) and experience a unique 19+ event, 'A Journey Through Terroir: Wine and Tea Pairing,' led by tea sommelier and wine educator Edward Qu of Niagara College. This immersive exploration will feature a guided tasting of curated flights of top-notch wine and teas. Tickets for the wine and tea pairing event are $60. The festival also welcomes Indigenous tea company Kebaonish Inc., whose co-founder Dr. Shyra Barberstock will deliver a lecture. Other notable vendors include Tea Squared Inc., Zoun Tea, Nepal Tea Collective, The Tea Guild of Canada, Momo Tea, Genuine Tea, Secret Teatime, and the originator of the Toronto Tea Festival, Tao Tea Leaf.
