A street festival in Toronto attended by 13,000 people, including families with children, erupted into a brazen gunfight. It happened just after 8 p.m. Saturday night and police say at least two people exchanged gunfire while moving through the crowd.
Two people were killed and another four were injured. It remains unclear whether the gunmen were among the victims or are still on the loose. Lexy Benedict reports. It’s been a wild weather weekend across this country, particularly in the Prairies where 14 tornadoes were reported in Saskatchewan since Friday.
Meanwhile, in Manitoba the city of Brandon is now under a state of emergency because of flooding. Both provinces are dealing with a stifling heat wave that stretches all the way to Quebec. Melissa Ridgen reports
