Keiron Gregory, 23, was initially charged with second-degree murder in the June 21, 2020, death of Bill Horrace, 44, who was gunned down inside his family’s Pochard Lane home, south of Clarke and Gore roads near London’s eastern edge.Horrace had defrauded Gregory out of $80,000, according to an agreed statement of facts read into the record by assistant crown attorney Steve Monaghan.Gregory obtained the Pochard Lane address from his father, Toronto police Det.
“While it was agreed Mr. Gregory was a party, the Crown cannot conclude who shot Mr. Horrace,” Monaghan said of the fatal encounter. Gregory, who was shot in the wrist during the struggle, was arrested in North Bay on July 14, 2020, and was later released on bail. He initially denied any involvement during an interview with a London police detective, saying he smoked cannabis and couldn’t recall what he was doing on the day Horrace was killed, court heard.Article content
