A Toronto police officer is facing eight charges of theft. The 48-year-old constable fraudulently obtained motor vehicles and gave a missing person’s personal belonging to an unidentified man.
A 16-year veteran of the Toronto Police Service is facing charges including theft and fraud after the service reported that a missing person’s debit card was used by someone who got the card from an officer.
On Feb. 17, after 53 Division started a missing person’s investigation, one of its officers gave the person’s debit card to a man, who used it to buy something in a Mississauga store, the police service said Tuesday. Further, police said the officer and the unidentified man fraudulently obtained motor vehicles.
Const. Boris Borissov, 48, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with three counts of breaching trust, and single counts of theft, fraud, trafficking a credit card and more.Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-2800.
