Toronto police say a Hells Angel procession, believed to be a memorial for a fallen member, is rolling through Toronto on Thursday.

Police are warning about major traffic disruptions as hundreds of motorcyclists are expected to ride through Toronto in a procession supporting the outlaw Hells Angels motorcycle club on Thursday.

The outlaw gang is expected to hold a national three-day event starting this weekend in Durham Region., who recently died at home in Oshawa at 74. Baptist said his main priority is to ensure public safety during the procession. In addition to traffic disruptions and possible road closures around the gathering area, people can also expect to see a heightened police presence — with a command post set up in 55 Division to provide additional support, as needed.

“We are concerned about the impact on people being able to get around in the area, residents, businesses, emergency vehicles,” he said. “We’re going to do everything we can to ensure there’s a robust traffic plan, to ensure that traffic moves about the city and that this procession has the most minimal impact on the people of Toronto as possible.
