Anthony Furey: “This incident is just awful, and now every parent is left worrying that their son or daughter could be next. The status quo approach to public safety clearly isn’t working. If elected mayor, I will be supporting the police, not calling to defund them like some of the others recently did. I also want to focus heavily on drug treatment, to help treat some of the people on our streets who may be prone to violence.
