The mayor “feels fine and is isolating at home” and will continue to work remotely while he isolates and recovers. “I am thankful that I have been fully vaccinated and have the best protection possible against COVID-19,” the 67-year-old Tory said.
“I know this also gives me the best chance at a quick recovery so I can be back to a busy in-person schedule as soon as possible. Right now, I feel fine and have extremely mild symptoms so far.” The statement does not say when Tory first felt symptoms. The Star has asked his staff what is being done to inform his close contacts in recent days. The mayor’s characteristically busy schedule this week has included days with multiple in-person events.
