Toronto FC has appointed Robin Fraser as its new head coach. Fraser previously served as an assistant coach for Toronto during its successful era, including the 2017 treble-winning season. He was most recently the chief sporting adviser for CT United FC in the MLS Next Pro league. Fraser is known for his experience both as a player and coach, having won multiple championships and being named MLS Defender of the Year twice.
He replaces John Herdman, who stepped down in November after a little over a year in charge. Toronto finished 11th in the Eastern Conference last season and missed the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year
