TFC has locked up Jozy Altidore.
announced Thursday afternoon it has re-signed the American forward to a new long-term deal through the 2022 season.
Altidore, 29, was in the final year of his contract and could have left the club as an unrestricted free-agent at the end of the 2019 MLS season.Altidore has 52 goals and 16 assists in 99 regular season and playoff games for Toronto since signing with the cub in 2015. Now that Altidore has re-signed, the focus shifts to captain Michael Bradley, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
