Sean Johnson is a keeper, literally and figuratively, and Toronto FC is going all out to sign the 2022 MLS All\u002DStar.

According to MLS insider Tom Bogert, the NYCFC goalkeeper, now a free agent, is being courted heavily by TFC and is expected to make a visit to Toronto in the immediate future.Sign up to receive daily headline news from the Ottawa SUN, a division of Postmedia Network Inc.By clicking on the sign up button you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc. Bradley said at the club’s pre-season media availability at the BMO Training Ground that there’s a possibility that two of the club’s more talented young players – Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty and Jayden Nelson – could transferred to overseas teams. If that happens, TFC would receive a nice chunk of change.

Bogert reported on Saturday that TFC has already rejected a transfer offer from aboard for Marshall-Rutty, as well as a trade offer from within MLS. The Brampton native has made 29 appearances over three seasons for the TFC. In Jan. 2021, he received his first call-up to the senior national team for a team camp, becoming the youngest player to ever be called up to the senior team, breaking the record of Alphonso Davies by five days.

“I have a little fan boy crush on Oso, since I was young,” Kaye told reporters. “We actually came to TFC at the same time . I went with the Academy and he went with the first team, but I was always impressed with he was able to do. With me leaving the club and still seeing what he was able to achieve and the fact that he’s committed his future here shows that he really cares about the club and the city and the growth of soccer in Toronto and in Canada. He’s a pioneer at what he’s doing.
