CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter stated that the last time Toronto received over 26 centimeters of snow from a single storm was on January 17, 2022 (28.8 cm). The heavy snowfall caused significant disruptions across the city, with OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt urging drivers to avoid the roads due to widespread slipping and sliding.
