“He is empathetic and understanding of people’s challenges, professionally and personally,” said Matho,“Above all, he always leads with the veteran’s best interests as priority No. 1.” A career counselor suggested nursing because he liked working with people. “Guys do that?” Davidson recalled asking, because in the 1980s there were few men in nursing.
He earned a master’s of nursing degree, with a specialty in population and community health, at Cleveland State University in 2003, and stepped into his current job as chief nurse of community outpatient service in 2011.
