CLEVELAND, Ohio -- We’re so deep into awards season, conventional wisdom dictates that Oscar nomination day is nothing but a formality. By now we’ve seen the same films and same performances singled out by the HFPA, SAG, DGA, PGA, CCA, etc., as the best of the best over the past year.
