Scott Wolowich opens small electrical tool repair shop, licensed by major manufacturers; says no one else in town doing it prior to opening shop
As a licensed petroleum mechanic with an engineering degree, the Sault’s Scott Wolowich is well trained and experienced in working with his hands and has stepped in to fill a need to repair small power tools for customers.
Wolowich fixes corded and battery powered hand tools such as electric drills, screwdrivers, nail guns, saws, impact wrenches and more. “Stores will not service it. They will have their own return policies. Maybe 30 to 90 days where if the tool breaks they will exchange it no questions asked. However, if it’s out of that exchange period then they would need to contact the manufacturer of the tool who puts them in touch with us. We do warranty repairs and out of warranty repairs for a lot of major tool brands.”
As with so many goods these days, Wolowich said there are some supply chain issues with replacement parts for tools, but not to a severe extent.
