Tony Carroll is joining the race for Ward 5 - Ellen's Creek seat on Charlottetown city council in the fall municipal election.ContributedCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Former researcher and university professor Tony Carroll is running for a Charlottetown city council seat Ward 5 – Ellen's Creek in the upcoming Nov. 7 municipal election.

Carroll currently sits on the College of Licensed Practical Nurses board and was recently the CAO for the Rural Municipality of Warren Grove. He also worked in the federal government for 10 years before pursuing his PhD and teaching at Queen's University and the Royal Military College."Much dysfunction has marked the current council, and its decisions and citizens are left footing the bill for these decisions,” he said.

“Citizens are left feeling alienated without say in their own government. It is time to bring city hall back to its citizens."
