Taufatofua is the first athlete to compete in consecutive Summer/Winter/Summer Olympic Games since 1924, per reports.The 37-year-old competed for Tonga in taekwondo at the Rio 2016 Summer Games, in cross-country skiing at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games, before hoping to compete in kayak sprint in Tokyo.
“So we said, ‘OK, we have got 5½ weeks for taekwondo. We are probably going to fight the world No. 1. Sort your stuff out.’”
