Andre Burakovsky opened the scoring for Seattle at 5:47 of the first period, but Pius Suter and Filip Chytil answered for Vancouver to give the Canucks a 2-1 lead.

Brandon Montour added a goal to make it 5-3 with 14:22 to play, and Tolvanen added an empty-netter with 1:31 remaining. Shane Wright had two assists. Montour also had an assist. Joey Daccord made 28 saves for Seattle, while Kevin Lankinen finished with 18 for Vancouver. Vancouver stayed in second place in the Western Conference's wild-card race thanks to Calgary's 3-0 loss to Florida on Saturday. \The Canucks are 0-16 this season when allowing at least five goals. Seattle's offense seemed to recover from a recent slump. Before Saturday, the Kraken had scored three goals or fewer in each of their past five games.
