The driver of the truck that struck a 15-month-old fled the scene, police said.
A toddler was killed in a traffic crash in Albany Park on Monday afternoon, police said.
At approximately 2 p.m., a 15-month-old boy was placed in the back seat of a white Toyota Rav 4. The child was not secure in his seat and exited the vehicle, according to the Chicago Police Department.The 15-month-old walked into the street and was hit by a pickup truck. He was taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.There is no other available information at this time.
