'This is an accident waiting to happen'
A child was narrowly missed as youths hurled eggs at cars driving along the Falls Road in Belfast on Wednesday.
Speaking to Belfast Live, the driver said similar incidents are happening most nights in the area. He said: "This is an accident waiting to happen."Someone is going to be seriously injured. I’m confident that I am not the only one to have been a victim of these attacks. Nobody seems to be doing anything, they get away with it. And it will be the same again tonight around the same time.
"Officers carried out patrols in the area following this incident and enquiries are continuing. Anyone with information in relation to this incident can contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1979 of 20/07/22." Speaking to Belfast Live, a manager at the store said: "Over recent weeks we have noticed anti-social behaviour regarding the use of eggs within the area. We made the decision to restrict the sale of eggs in our store from March, to help prevent this and support our local community.
