A toddler is fighting for life after falling several storeys from a block of flats in east London.
Reports on social media suggest the boy fell from the eighth floor of the building, but that has not been confirmed by police. The boy fell from a height just before 7pm yesterday evening in East India Dock, Poplar and was taken to a major trauma centre after an air ambulance was called to the scene. Police closed the A13 dual carriage way in both directions shortly before 7pm as they investigated the incident.The Met said the boy has been taken to a specialist hospital and is in a critical but stable condition.Police said in a statement: ‘Police called at 6.54pm to East India Dock Road, Poplar, to reports of a child fallen from height from a residential building. Officers attended with LAS.’
