Results were expected when the polls closed in five federal by-elections held on this date in 2017. The Liberals held on to two seats in Ontario and a third in Quebec. At the same time, Canada’s Conservatives retained two Alberta seats, including Calgary-Heritage which had been former Prime Minister Stephen J.
