Artist Jared Krichevsky is speaking out in defense of his TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles 2014 reboot live-action design. 'I know I would do them differently today, there's a lot I would change, but at the time, it was a dream job and it was awesome.'
While two new adaptations are in the works, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 reboot artist Jared Krichevsky is defending his divisive live-action Turtles designs. Produced by Transformers director Michael Bay, the film acted as the fifth theatrical film centered on the titular superhero team and a reboot of said franchise, which previously included three live-action movies and the CGI animated TMNT in 2007.

While a number of elements of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot franchise were the focus of criticism from critics and audiences alike, the live-action Turtles design was one of the most prominent, with many finding the inclusion of nostrils for the heroes to be unsettling. As Krichevsky notes above, studios didn't have the insight of how changing the live-action design from what viewers are used to seeing to influence the post-production process.
Though Paramount could've taken the same approach to its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 reboot to adjust the divisive live-action Turtles design ahead of time, it may not have saved the film overall in the eyes of critics or audiences, as most of the criticism was directed towards the film's script.
