FrontPageBets takes a look at best bets for the Genesis Invitational as the PGA Tour completes its West Coast swing.
Playing in his first official PGA Tour event since last July’s British Open at St. Andrews, Woods will tee it up in the Genesis Invitational this week at the Riviera Country Club in Palisades, Calif., as the Tour completes its West Coast swing.
The last time Woods played in this event was in 2020; he finished 68th. This will be Woods’ 15th time playing in this tournament, which he’s never won. His best finish at Riviera was a tie for second in 1999. He does have eight top-20 finishes, however. The favorite: Jon Rahm Jon Rahm is coming into this weekend on a hot streak. He’s already won twice this season and finished third at the WM Phoenix Open last weekend. His worst finish this year is T8 at the Hero World Challenge in December.
Morikawa is ninth in the World Golf Rankings and 16th in FedEx Cup standings. He has two top-10 finishes this year. He won this event in 2021 and hasn’t finished outside the top 10 in his last three starts at Riviera.
