JOHN'S, N.L. — Swimmers will take to the waters of Conception Bay in September to support mental-health programs in Newfoundland and Labrador.

After recent fundraisers being held virtually due to COVID-19, the Canadian Mental Health Association N.L.'s 10th annual Tickle swim is returning to the water in-person. The event features a five-kilometre swim from Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s to Bell Island in the frigid North Atlantic waters on Sept. 17 at 7 a.m.Money raised by participants will help CMHA-NL's programs to increase mental health support in the province.
