Ticketmaster has agreed to pay $6 million in a class action settlement approved by court for alleged deceptive marketing practices.

Live Nation is investigating a data breach at its Ticketmaster subsidiary, which dominates ticketing for live events in the United States. Live Nation, based in Beverly Hills, Calif., said in a regulatory filing Friday, May 31, 2024, that on May 27"a criminal threat actor'' offered to sell Ticketmaster data on the dark web.
The plaintiff refers to false marketing, particularly how Ticketmaster sold and displayed its ticket fees, claiming it violated the Consumer Protection and Business Practices Act SS 2024, c C-30.2. ‘Credit Eligible Class Members’ will be eligible to obtain a Credit through the claims process pursuant to the Settlement Agreement., you are considered a ‘Credit Eligible Class Member’ if you purchased a Ticket from January 1, 2018 through June 30, 2018.
