NORTH SPIRIT LAKE FIRST NATION, ON — One person remains in hospital following a collision on the winter road network in Northwestern Ontario.

According to the company, the accident happened when the northbound Valard crew cab contacted the trailer of the southbound semi on a curve at the 80-kilometre marker on the Sandy Lake Winter Road. The company said it notified the appropriate regulatory authorities about the collision, that an investigation is ongoing, and that it is working cooperatively with authorities.
