Thousands of pro-life supporters and advocotee
Thousands of pro-life supporters and anti-abortion advocates rallied at the Pennsylvania Capitol Building in Harrisburg Monday.
Now in its third year, the annual "March for Life" rally has continued to attract thousands of individuals, community members and lawmakers. Last year, over 5,000 attendees participated in the march. According to the organization, the event seeks to "be a voice for the voiceless, highlight pro-life state policies and crucial work of pregnancy centers."I think people should realize that it's really important that everybody's life matters, even if they can't speak for themselves.
Those in support of the movement are pushing for more restrictions on abortion—saying that life begins at conception. They took to the capitol steps Monday, in part, because its the first day when both the Pennsylvania State House and Senate are back in session.It just helps everyone to know that they're not alone and that being pro-life is many , it's not a few.
While those opposed to March for Life's policy goals instead advocate for "pro-choice" legislation that would protect a woman's decision to obtain an abortion. They argue that abortions protect the lives of pregnant people.
