“Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that is based on the idea that a blockage or disturbance in the flow of the body's life energy, or it, can cause health issues," she says. "It’s similar to but without ever going past the surface of skin. Instead of using needles to reset pressure points, acupressure is all about massaging those same pressure points without intrusion."As for whether it can help with sleep, she adds: "There are many small studies which evidence the use of acupressure but none are totally conclusive, but there is no evidence to support that acupressure doesn't help sleep – so it's definitely worth a try.
